SERVICES WE PROVIDE

Essential Driver Training (EDT) Lessons

All new Learner Drivers who receive their Learner Permits on, or after 4th April 2011 will be required to complete 12 mandatory 1-hour lessons before being eligible to apply for their driving test.

A period of 6 months from the Date of Issue of Learner Permit must pass before they can apply for their Driving Test.

At the beginning of your EDT, you will be provided with a RSA Information Booklet and official EDT Logbook, which will be completed by your ADI at the end of each session. You must bring your Logbook to each session along with your Learner Permit for verification. Your Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) will upload the individual lessons completed to the RSA ADI Logbook Record System Portal. You can view these training records through the MyEDT Portal on the RSA website.

Remember, EDT is only part of the Learning to Drive Process and it has been developed from the Learner Driver Training (LDT) syllabus, which covers all of the skills and behaviours that a competent driver needs to have. EDT in itself will help you learn some of the most vital and safety-critical driving skills as well as improve your knowledge and understanding of road safety.


PRE-TESTS

One of the main reasons candidates fail the driving test is because of lack of preparation beforehand which has a direct impact on their confidence going into the test itself. Preparation is key.

Professional Pre-Test tuition is key if you are going to succeed on the day!

We will take you on the common test routes where we will score you on a Pre-Test Examination Marking Sheet. Where faults occur, we will explain these faults, why they occurred, what the consequences of such faults are and how to address these so they won’t be repeated.

Always ensure that you book early to guarantee availability and in advance if hiring a school car for the driving test.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We operate a 48-Hour notice policy for cancellations or rescheduling of ongoing EDT and Pretest lessons otherwise the fee is forfeited.

If for some reason the instructor (ADI) deems a pupil unfit to drive or if their learner permit / driving licence is not in date, does not have the correct vehicle category listed or has been mislaid, then the lesson will not proceed and lesson fee is forfeited.

Our Driving school vehicles are manual transmission, if automatic is required, the pupil must provide a vehicle or lesson cannot proceed and lesson fee is forfeited.

The Instructor (ADI) retains the right to refuse car hire for driving test at any time and at their discretion if it is evident the applicant is not sufficiently prepared or fit to sit the driving test resulting in overall safety being compromised.
